Elizabeth,
I love your quote, "We have a long way to go, until we achieve these goals I will work."
As educators, we do have a long way to go until we achieve our goals...and it is that dedication and passion that we have that gives us the strength to continue to work work work!

I love the quote, "It's not all about you. You have to take the ego out to figure out what is best for this child."
I have attended a lot of professional training seminars this year, and meaning behind this quote that you put in your blog has been the highlight of the training. At the end of the day, a teacher has worked in vain, if the child they were suppose to help leaves out without understanding his or her work and are confused. Sometimes power gets in the way of progress, and the world needs more teachers that care about the children vs their status and titles.

I liked your quote by Renatta Cooper, because it makes sense that as educators we have to stop fighting and saying who is right and who is wrong, but sit down and come to together as educators to help create programs that are best for the children.
I also really liked the quoate "" It's not all about you; You have to take ego out to figure out what's best for this child."
This is so important because I think sometimes people underestimate children and think that they always know whats best when it is very important to let a child explore and learn through experience. Doing everything the perceived "right" way would make it so we never had any innovation.
